Little Devil Inside Developers Release New Footage and Is Seeking a New Publisher

Little Devil Inside was first announced during the PlayStation State of Play in October 2021 and since then, the project had zero updates. Seemingly, people jumped to the conclusion that the game had been canceled, but a new update from the developers has shed some light on what’s been going on.

A new video by developer Neostream shows six minutes of new gameplay, with the developers also giving a brief update on its Kickstarter as to the game’s progress, which includes the announcement that the game will now be built on Unreal Engine 5.

In short, the game isn’t canceled and certainly isn’t going away. “We have genuinely started discussions regarding publishing and once this clears out, hopefully, we’ll be able to answer what everyone wants to know”, the update reads.

You can see the six-minute video and full announcement below:

Dear all,

Began with a dream of two brothers.
You supported.
We became a team, then grew into a company and tried many hands to make light work.

Along the way in all efforts to making a great game, many great people have come and gone.
People with respectable but different purposes and pursuits.

In sharing these differences and thoughts, we were sometimes touched and moved and sometimes in conflict.
We are responsible for not being able to embrace the differences.

And of course, sincere apologies to you all.

So now, we’re back to a smaller, bonded team with a single, common purpose – just to make a great game.

And all our core founding and starting members are still here with the duty and conscience to fulfill what we set out to do.

We know this doesn’t and shouldn’t justify all the delays and lack of news but we’re still here, have been, and always will be.

Equipped with one tide-turning fact – having gone the long way around, we are stronger. Much stronger.

We have genuinely started discussions regarding publishing and once this clears out, hopefully, we’ll be able to answer what everyone wants to know.

Here, we’ve just strung together a series of gameplay clips representative of what we have been working on in the UE5 engine.

  • Your post is somewhat confusing. You state earlier that the game won’t be in UE5, then the last sentence of the statement from the developers says “what we’ve been working on in the UE5 engine”. Is it just a typo?

  • Announced at the state of play? No this game was announced almost 10 years ago when some of us who donated were told there would be a Wii U version LOL. I hope it comes out, but its looking like another scam and they got me for $100 bucks.
