Lince Works, the developers behind the Aragami series has taken to Twitter to announce it will be closing down this April.
The reason for the closure was said to be because “the economic context was not favorable and we ran out of time”. According to the Lince Works website, the studio employs 16 full-time developers.

In May 2020, Lince Works raised $3.4 million in funding led by Game Seer (via VentureBeat) and had announced that the first Aragami sold an impressive 500,000 copies on its own. The Aragami series is an action-adventure stealth video game where players take the role of Aragami, an assassin with supernatural abilities. The player can teleport between shadows and faces an enemy army that goes by the name of ‘Kaiho’.
In 2020, Lince Works announced a sequel titled Aragami 2 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and was released on September 17, 2021.
