Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Gets New Trailer

Sega has released a new trailer for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii during the Xbox Partner Preview event on Thursday.

The new trailer gives players a look at the game’s naval gameplay for the first time. It was also announced that the release date has been moved up a week from February 28, 2025.

You can check it out for yourself, below.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii sees players play as Goro Majima. Majima has lost all his memory and becomes a pirate, taking to the high seas.

“Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure,” the game’s description reads.

There will be four areas to explore on the hunt to find the treasure, including Rich Island, Madlantis, Nele Island, and Honolulu, Hawai’i. The game will also feature a combat system similar to past Like a Dragon titles.

The Like A Dragon spinoff launches on February 21, 2025 of Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

  • SEGA no one wants this the series ends after 5 the PS4 games onwards ruined the series. I don’t hate 7 but yeah the story is best ended with 5 don’t play the prequel or remakes first play the PS2 games then 3-5. RGG should do other stuff like remake Shenmue 1-3 and partner with Yu Suzuki to finally end the story of Shenmue. Also weren’t they supposed to be working on Virtua Fighter 6 where is it? Rumors were this year they’d reveal it and still nothing? Another rumor that also happened was a new Castlevania game from years ago that also never came to light same with Mega Man.
