A popular source for LEGO news has indicated that we won’t be seeing any new LEGO MARVEL games for a while, and that Warner Bros. is eyeing up one of its many IPs for the next game—but it’s possibly not the one you’re thinking of.
LEGO games continue to smash it—not something you want to hear around LEGO pieces—and 2026 has been no exception. LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight was a clapworthy, cowl-filled adventure with our favorite caped crusader.
As for what’s next, according to a report, it’s not LEGO MARVEL.
Next LEGO Game ‘To Be Focused on a Major Warner Bros IP’
Not since 2019’s LEGO Marvel Collection have we had anything to do with a new LEGO MARVEL game, making 2017’s LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 the last new one we’re probably going to see for a while.

Based on Warner Bros.’ August report, they said:
‘The ‘LEGO MARVEL Games’ Series has been put on hold for the unforeseeable future.’
Not only this, but: ‘The next LEGO Game is officially confirmed to be focused on a major Warner Bros IP.’
They have said it will be a while until the next game (presumably LEGO MARVEL), and if this is true, then all heads turn toward what the next IP could be.
The plot thickens slightly, as you might be thinking it’s Harry Potter. You’d be wrong, as the user responded to claims with a GIF saying ‘Apparently not.’
They also ruled out a LEGO Dune game as well.

Could we get an animated LEGO Mortal Kombat fighting game? That would be unbelievably kool. Maybe a trip to a star-studded Shire in LEGO The Lord of the Rings?
