Leaked Video Gives A Look At Mechs In Helldivers 2

Players will be getting controllable mechs in Helldivers 2 in a future update, and a we seem to have our first look at them in game.

According to a leaked video found on Reddit, Helldivers will be able to get in and out of mechs during missions to help with their efforts to spread democracy.

As far as when the update is coming, that remains unknown. The latest update comes via the game’s Discord when a staff member said the mechs are “good to go”.

“Mechs been good to go for a while,” they said. “There’s still some additional polishing being done by people who can’t assist with server issues.”

Mechs were apart of the first Helldivers, offering you help on missions and providing various advantages. While the plan has been to include them in Helldivers 2, they just never made it into the game for launch. As far as how they’ll work in the new game as opposed to the top-down original, that remains to be seen. That said, the video below does give players a slight idea of what to expect.

Insider Gaming has reached out to Arrowhead Game Studios for comment on the mechs update in Helldivers 2 and will update this story should a response be received.
