Larian Studios, the developers behind Baldur’s Gate 3, is working on two new games while continuing to support add updates to 2023’s Game of the Year.
In a community post on Thursday, in addition to talking about what’s next for Baldur’s Gate 3, the studio confirmed what else it’s working on. At least one of which, if not both, appear to be brand new IPs based on what was said.
“As an independent studio since 1996, we value the freedom to follow our creativity wherever it leads,” the studio said. “In this case, after six years in the Forgotten Realms and much discussion and rumination, we’ve decided to seize this opportunity to develop our own IPs.
“We’re currently working on two new projects and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future has in store.”
For those worried about support for Baldur’s Gate 3, don’t be. The studio is still working on additions to the game such as a photo mode and crossplay.
