Kojima Productions has confirmed that Elle Fanning will star in Hideo Kojima’s next title.
The actress, was teased with a silhouette of the actress and the words “Who am I?” several days ago.
Now, Kojima is hinting at another actress that will star in his next title. Another silhouette with the words “Where am I?” has been posted to his Twitter.
Theories have suggested that this new image could be the actress Margaret Qualley. Qualley played Mama in Death Stranding, with rumors suggesting that Death Stranding 2 is in development.
Earlier in the year, I revealed that Kojima was working on a new title called “Overdose”, which I believe could be the cloud-based game Kojima has been working on for a couple of years.
In the video which was provided anonymously, I could see that Mama was the playable character.
Footage shows the character walking through dark corridors with a flashlight in third-person, but it’s been suggested that the game can be played in first-person too. A jump scare at the end of the footage shows “GAMEOVER” followed by “A Hideo Kojima Game”… “OVERDOSE”.
The game itself didn’t look like Death Stranding 2, but a new horror-based experience.
Death Stranding 2 does seem to be in development though, with Norman Reedus accidentally revealing he’s working on the game.
It’s likely that whatever Kojima is working on will be revealed at The Game Awards in December. This would be similar to how Kojima debuted Death Stranding in the past.
Kojima has already confirmed he’s working on a new game for Xbox, which is unlikely to be Death Stranding 2. Instead, it’s most likely the cloud-based game that is believed to be Overdose.
