PS5 Players Can Own Jim Ryan in Bobblehead Form

Jim Ryan’s thirty-year tenure at PlayStation comes to an end this month, but PS5 players can secure a piece of history by acquiring the man himself in bobblehead form. Through the ‘PlayStation Stars’ feature, gamers can pick up a lasting tribute to the age-old executive who is retiring from PlayStation and moving on to pastures new.

How To Get The Jim Ryan Bobblehead

If you want to give a ‘fond farewell’ to Jim Ryan and unlock his bobblehead, you simply need to play one of the games that were created during his tenure. Here’s the blurb that describes this reward:

Help us celebrate Jim Ryan’s 30 years at PlayStation by playing any one of the many impressive games he championed as CEO and get a special digital collectible. Happy retirement, Jim!

PlayStation has revealed that there are six games that you can play to unlock the Jim Ryan bobblehead:

  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Destiny 2
  • God of War Ragnarok
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
  • The Last of Us Part 2

It doesn’t matter if you play any of these games through PlayStation Plus or if you pop the disc into your drive, you’ll get the Jim Ryan bobblehead. If you’ve never heard of PlayStation Stars, it’s the ‘loyalty program’ that PlayStation gamers can take advantage of, completing challenges and campaigns to unlock exclusive digital collectables or reward points. It’s free to join, so you might as well register and secure your bobblehead if that’s your kind of thing.
