It’s almost time to set sail across the seven seas, as Windrose is finally entering Early Access after an incredibly successful open beta. It’s got every pirate fan on the edge of their seat, and for good reason, too.
Whether you’re engaging in high-stakes naval battles or building your perfect fort, completing the 70-hour campaign or exploring the numerous islands, there’s tons of content to unpack, as a grand adventure awaits in Windrose.
It’s so exciting that console fans are also desperate for its arrival, but will Windrose Early Access be available on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo? Find out below.
Is Windrose On PlayStation?

Sorry, PlayStation fans, it’s not good news: Windrose will not be releasing on the PS5 alongside its PC launch.
It’s not too surprising, in all honesty. The game is only launching in Early Access, and judging by the developer’s description, it could stay that way for at least two more years.

However, it doesn’t seem like the kind of game that would be impossible to port onto consoles, with the third-person action-adventure gameplay typical for the platforms. However, until the game is in a complete state, it’d be far too difficult to consistently update on PlayStation 5.
Is Windrose On Xbox?
It’s the same story as PlayStation, as Windrose will not be released on Xbox Series X|S alongside its PC launch.
If it’s not coming to PlayStation, then it usually means that it’s not coming to Xbox, and the same can be said for Windrose. Again, when the game officially releases, the answer could change, but for the time being, it will remain a PC exclusive.
Is Windrose On Nintendo Switch?
This one is perhaps the most unsurprising, but no, Windrose is not going to be releasing on either Nintendo Switch systems anytime soon.

The scale of Windrose would make the content complete version of the game difficult enough to port onto a Nintendo system, but whilst it’s still in Early Access? It’s a definite no. That could always change in the future, of course, but right now, your best bet is to start saving up for a PC, unless you’re ready for a hefty wait.
