Is F1 25 Coming to Xbox Game Pass?

F1 25 is screeching round the bend as the release date for the latest title in the series rapidly approaches and, as is customary for modern releases, you’re probably wondering if F1 25 is on Game Pass—a question we have the answer to.

The fifth entry in the series since EA’s huge acquisition of Codemasters, F1 25 arrives in a period of continued highs for the world of Formula 1, which has seen a major boost in popularity since Netflix’s Drive to Survive series began.

Whether you’re a long-term player of the series or are looking to dive in for the first time, we’ve got the lowdown on F1 25’s Xbox Game Pass availability.

Can You Play F1 25 on Xbox Game Pass?

Although the full game is not landing on Xbox Game Pass at launch, a five-hour free trial is available for those with an EA Play membership.

Subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service have EA Play included in the membership, both on Xbox Series X|S and PC, while PC Game Pass subscribers also have an EA Play membership included in their subscription.

For those without EA Play, a membership is purchasable for $5.99 a month, so subscribing for one month to try out F1 25 is a decent shout if you’re on the fence.

Once the five-hour trial has been used, you won’t be able to play F1 25 again unless you purchase the title outright, though any progress you made in the trial does continue.

Will F1 25 Come to Xbox Game Pass?

There’s no indication of when F1 25 will come to Xbox Game Pass, but it’s highly likely the game will be added in the future as part of the EA Play membership.

You can expect a long wait, however, as F1 24 arrived on EA Play on February 20, almost nine months after its first release, and the arrival on the subscription service almost always occurs toward the end of the title’s life cycle.

This is an approach EA has taken for most of its releases, particularly sports titles, with the likes of EA FC and Madden all joining the EA Play line-up in the final months of their lifespan.

If you opt to play the five-hour trial of F1 25 and then decide not to purchase the game, then returning after a Game Pass arrival, you will still be able to continue any progress you initially made.
