Days Gone Remastered is a resurgence of one of the best open-world zombie games ever made. It was introduced in 2019 by Bend Studio, and while it didn’t have the best launch, it was polished into something fantastic. I’m a huge fan, and I’m here to address a question that games have: ‘Is Days Gone Remastered coming to PC?’
The original title was released on PC in 2021, two years after it landed on PlayStation 4. On April 25, the evolved game will surface on PS5, but is Days Gone Remastered being released on PC?
Let’s find out.
Days Gone Remastered PC Version Explained
Days Gone Remastered will not be released on PC in a traditional sense. By that, I mean you can’t waltz onto Steam and purchase outright a copy of Days Gone Remastered.
However, the original game (which was upgraded for the PC launch anyway) will get a $10 DLC that incorporates all the new features and modes coming to Days Gone Remastered.
Effectively, that’s your Days Gone Remastered on PC.
That $10 upgrade includes:
- Horde Assault
- Permadeath Mode
- Speedrun Mode
- Dualsense Haptic Support
- Enhanced Photomode
That $10 is a small price to pay for the new modes that promise plenty of entertainment. I’m especially excited for Horde Assault, an arcade-survival mode that has stacks of replay value.
In the original Days Gone game, one of the most entertaining things was slaughtering vast hordes of undead enemies, and in Days Gone Remastered, the size of those hordes has been boosted.
If you’ve already bought Days Gone on PlayStation 4, you can perform a $10 upgrade that’ll get you access to the PS5 version of Days Gone Remastered, which is a similar operating model to the PC upgrade.
