The world of Invincible is full of superpowered people constantly beating each other up, so what better genre to suit the franchise than a tag fighter? Invincible VS is just that, and there are more than enough in-universe characters for the title to pull from, with 18 being selected at launch.
Just like the show and comics, though, some of the heroes (and villains) are stronger than the rest, with a select few of the roster certainly feeling a level above everyone else. In a fighting game where you’re always looking for an edge over your opponent, you’ll want to use the best the game has to offer.
That’s where this tier list should help you out. All 18 characters from Invincible VS have been ranked from worst to best, and you can find every entry below.
Invincible VS Tier List, Ranked
There are 18 base roster characters in Invincible VS, but only three of them make it into our S-tier ranking.
Now, before we dive into the rankings, it’s important to clarify that the game is still incredibly fresh. Metas are still being developed, and characters are still being torn apart to figure out how to best utilise their move sets.

With that in mind, this tier list is prone to serious evolutions, and nobody’s place is set in stone. Get involved in the comments below and let us know if you think anybody needs to be moved, but until then, here is the complete Invincible VS character tier list, with S representing the best in class, and D showcasing the worst of the bunch.
| Tier | Invincible VS Character |
|---|---|
| S | Omni-Man Battle Beast Dupli-Kate |
| A | Conquest Atom Eve Thula Lucan Allen the Alien Invincible |
| B | Anissa Rex Splode Ella Mental Bulletproof Monster Girl |
| C | Cecil Titan Powerplex |
| D | Robot |
Best Meta Character To Use In Invincible VS, Explained
Generally speaking, the characters in Invincible VS are very well balanced, but for my money, Omni-Man is the best meta-defining character in Invincible VS you need to be using right now.
All three characters in S-tier are exceptional, though they do offer slightly different playstyles. Dupli-Kate is incredibly quick, and you can pull off some insane combos with her kit. By contrast, Battle Beast is slower, but he packs a serious punch; time his moves well and you can devastate opponents.

And then there’s Omni-Man, who feels like a perfect middle ground between the two. He can dish out some major damage, but he’s still fairly quick and easy to move around. Expect to see him in a lot of teams, especially partnered with either Battle Beast or Dupli-Kate.
All Invincible VS Characters Ranked From Worst To Best
As mentioned before, the game feels very balanced at launch, and I truly think every character can be a menace when in the right hands. Robot might rank lowest on the rankings (you’ll find out why soon), but I’ve played against people who make him seem like an S-tier pick.
All of this is to say that if you’re new to the game, give every character a try! You’ll undoubtedly have your own play style, and some characters will be better suited to it than others.
That being said, it’s time to go over our rankings, starting with 18th place.
18. Robot

Robot’s move set just never clicked with me. He always feels too far away from his opponent, and his movement is too stilted for my liking. He’s the only Balanced / Balanced character in the game, and he feels like that in gameplay—not really a master of anything.
17. Powerplex

In all honesty, Powerplex might be too low on this list, but nothing about his move set wowed me. He needs to be quite close to his opponent for some moves, whilst he does boast some decent range when you need to make some distance. He’s fine, but nothing to write home about.
16. Titan

Titan is best at close range, but his slow movement can make it frustrating to close gaps. When he is attacking, it’s slow and heavy, but that playstyle has never appealed to me too much, especially when other characters on the list can combo him fairly easily.
15. Cecil

Cecil is the master of ranged attacks, and fighting a good one can be hellish. He has numerous moves to keep you at range, but even when you get too close, he can quickly make some distance. I haven’t been able to utilize him to his fullest yet, but for some of you out there, he’s bound to be the perfect match.
14. Monster Girl

From here on out, I think every character is solid, and that begins with Monster Girl. She’s slow-moving, but her attacks can be quite the opposite, and you can put a heavy-hitting combo together fairly quickly. She might be too slow for some of you out there, but she makes a solid tank pick for your tag team.
13. Bulletproof

Bulletproof was a beast in the Invincible VS beta, but I think he’s been toned down slightly. He’s a fairly standard fighter, with some quick attacks and solid air-juggling capacities. I do find him quite basic, but if you’re new to the game, he’s a great pick to help you get acquainted with the gameplay.
12. Ella Mental

Fans of the show and comics might not recognise Ella Mental, and that’s because she’s exclusive to Invincible VS—and she’s a great addition! If it wasn’t obvious, she controls the elements and does her best work at a range, with fireballs and water missiles on offer.
That being said, she can do some work at close range, and she will definitely have a high skill ceiling for some players. I think she’s very well-rounded and could definitely climb up the rankings as time passes.
11. Rex Splode

Rex honestly feels really good to play. He’s quick, he has a great mix of ranged attacks, and he can move around the map very easily. For many, he could be higher on the list, and I wouldn’t have many complaints, but I found that when he winds up in the air, he can be a bit too prone to a counter.
10. Anissa

It took me a while to enjoy playing as Anissa, but the more I did, the more I enjoyed her move set. She is a bit basic, but her speed and ability to close gaps quickly really bump her up the ranks for me. I could see others having her lower-rated, but I think she has a very high skill ceiling with her Special Attacks—her dodge is insanely satisfying to pull off.
9. Invincible

The star of the show himself is a blast to play, and he’s the poster boy most will show up for. With that in mind, his character is nothing exceptional, but what he does, he does well, and that’s close down opponents quickly and hit reliable combos.
8. Allen The Alien

Allen was one of the top picks during the Beta, and he remains an excellent choice in the official launch. As large as he may be, he’s excellent at taking space and keeping the pressure on enemies, with some solid grappling and air combos on the cards, too.
7. Lucan

For those of you who have played the Story Mode, you’ll know that Lucan is incredibly strong and doesn’t let up at all. For better or for worse, he’s just as powerful in online play, and it’s due to his mix of grapple attacks and quick hits. Don’t let his gut fool you; this man is not to be messed with.
6. Thula

Thula is a great attacker who balances a lot of aspects well. Her Light attack is close range, but you can use your Medium to pull them in closer, before sending them into the air to hit a combo in the sky. In the right hands, she can trap you in a combo before you know it, and I can see her being fairly underrated.
5. Atom Eve

Eve has a very unique play style that I think a lot of people could love or hate. She’s not too great up close, but perfect at keeping an enemy right where you want them. Partner that with her solid ranged attacks and potential to air juggle with her hover, and she’s arguably the best zoner in the game.
4. Conquest

If you’ve watched Invincible, you’ll be glad to see that Conquest fights in-game just as well as he does on the show. He’s quick, he’s brutal, he’s incredibly powerful, and overall, a great pick. He could probably break into S-tier, but I do think that what he offers, both Battle Beast and Omni-Man, do just as well, if not slightly better.
3. Dupli-Kate

Dupli-Kate is one of my favorite characters to play in Invincible VS. I love her speed, and the combo potential with her is through the roof. She’s great fun to keep the pressure on opponents, and I can see a lot of people picking Bulletproof over her, but her variety tips the scales for me.
2. Battle Beast

There’s not much that differentiates first and second, but Battle Beast is undeniably one of the best fighters in the game. He hits hard, closes distances quickly, and can put together some mean combos, even in the air. Most opposing teams will have him in the squad, so if you won’t pick him, at least learn to face off against him.
1. Omni-Man

It should come as no surprise that Omni-Man is arguably the best character in Invincible VS. As his description suggests, he packs raw power, and does everything else just as well. He’s well-balanced, easy to use, and once mastered, a formidable opponent.
And there it is, the Invincible VS tier list. What do you make of the rankings? There are definitely some rogue shouts in there, so drop your thoughts in the comments or in the official Insider Gaming Discord Server.
