T1’s Ryu ‘Keria’ Min-seok claimed that he had become the greatest Support in League of Legends history at MSI after T1’s 3-0 victory over Karmine Corp to progress to the MSI Play-Ins.
The three-time Worlds-winning Support gave the statement in his post-match interview after being named Player of the Match after the KC series, where Keria’s impact was again undeniable.
T1’s Keria stakes his claim as the best Support in League of Legends history
As part of the POM interview following the 3-0 victory, the T1 Support was asked, “Keria, this is your fifth MSI. Compared to when you first stepped onto the MSI stage in 2022, what do you think has changed the most?”
Keria replied, “Back then, I really wanted to be the GOAT Support, and right now I can say I am the GOAT support itself.” (translated)
Certainly, there is a growing consensus that Keria is taking the Support role to new heights, playing a wide range of champions to an elite level, displaying outstanding mechanics across his champion pool, most notably on his signature pick of Bard.
The T1 Support is widely regarded as the most mechanically gifted player in his role, displaying world-class micro, especially in teamfighting, where T1 does so much of their best work.

While Keria continues to grow his legacy in the game, those with an appreciation for League of Legends history may have something to say about players like Cho ‘Mata’ Se-hyeon, Hong ‘MadLife’ Min-gi, or Tian ‘Meiko’ Ye.
Keria seemed to have no regard for his own Coach’s claim to that title, with T1 Coach Mata widely regarded as one of the greatest Supports of all time, and a significant innovator in the space, and the only Support to be awarded MVP at Worlds for his outstanding play for Samsung Galaxy White in 2014.
With Keria’s current form, it is not impossible to imagine Keria equalling that feat at Worlds 2026, but first, the Support will look to qualify for the Main Stage of MSI, where T1 are one win away.
They will face the winner of Team Liquid and Karmine Corp on Wednesday in the Play-In final. KC and TL will contest the Lower Final of the Play-In on Tuesday morning.
