Hypixel Studios has announced the early access release date for Hytale, officially sparking the countdown for the release of the eagerly anticipated title.
Riot Games’ cancellation of Hytale looked to have left the game dead and buried, but it was repurchased by the original founders, with an affordable price to boot, and players will be able to play fairly soon.
Hytale Early Access Releases January 13
Posting on Twitter, the official account for Hytale announced an early access release date of January 13 for the game, fulfilling a promise made to share the date by the end of this week.
Players had already been forewarned that a release before the holidays was not possible, as “the acquisition took just long enough” to prevent such a release, and that was why it took “so long to announce the date.”
Pre-orders will be available from December 13, though players have again been warned that the release is a “true early access” and is “very much unfinished and will be buggy for a while.”
The team is committed to “make Hytale the game we’ve always wanted it to be,” however, and it’s clear the early access release is just the next step on what has been a long journey for the team.
