It’s finally time to break free from the confines of Speranza and retake the surface in ARC Raiders, and it’s all thanks to the Outpost, a new hub area for players to call home.
Here, you can collect different Designs and decorate to your heart’s content, adding a whole new element of progression to the game. That said, you don’t just gain access to this area for free; instead, you’ll need to work for it.
Considering it’s a new arrival, you’ll likely want it as soon as possible. With that in mind, here’s how to unlock the Outpost via the Sheltered Retreat Project in ARC Raiders.
How To Complete The ARC Raiders Sheltered Retreat Project
There are three stages to the Sheltered Retreat Project in ARC Raiders, though there’s some variety with the stages, and you need to be Level 18 to unlock it.
Thankfully, you can scroll through the stages freely, so it’s easy to plan ahead and gather the resources needed for later stages. Still, this time around you’ll need to do an excursion first, with a visit to the Blue Gate map on the cards.

When Does The ARC Raiders Sheltered Retreat Project End?
As things stand, it’s unclear how long the Sheltered Retreat Project will last, but it’s likely to have no expiry date.
That’s because the Outpost is a new part of ARC Raiders’ progression, so if the Project to unlock it expired, then so would that avenue of content.
Speaking of new content, you’ll be hunting for new Designs to fill up your Outpost. These act like Blueprints, with tons of furniture and decoration options out there to be discovered and crafted.
