If you want to ping incoming threats for both yourself and enemies, you are going to want to spot enemies in Battlefield 6.
If you are able to get through the massive queues and actually start enjoying the game, you will know that there is danger everywhere. Like any other situation, having the most information on hand is important.
Here are the various ways to spot enemies in Battlefield 6.
How to Manually Spot Enemies in Battlefield 6

To manually spot enemies in Battlefield 6, you need to have the enemy in your crosshairs and press Q on PC, L1 on PlayStation 5, or LB on Xbox Series X|S.
When you press the correct button when aimed at an enemy, that player will get a diamond above their head that is shown not just to you, but your entire team as well, increasing the chances of someone coming to help you take down the threat. While the icon appearing in your view is helpful, the enemy will also be marked on the minimap.
Pinging enemies has become just about as standard a feature in shooter games as any other control for how useful it is for communicating with your teammates without being in a voice chat with them. With such large maps and dozens of players on both teams, the ability to spot enemies becomes very useful for players in Battlefield 6.
How to Spot Enemies With the Recon Class in Battlefield 6
While every player can use the manual ping described above, there are other ways to mark enemies in Battlefield 6 by using the Recon class.
The Recon class is all about placing yourself in advantageous positions to gather as much information as possible. In some cases, this is best used for sniping, but even if you aren’t the greatest shot, you can get value out of this class.
When looking down the scope on a sniper as Recon, you will automatically mark enemies without pressing the button listed above for your platform of choice. Just keep your aim on them for a brief period of time to mark them. Spotting enemies in Battlefield 6 this way will also last slightly longer. Additionally, if you deal damage, you will do the same.
That’s not all, though, as the Recon class has the motion sensor gadget, which will spot enemies in the area that are moving, though if they are crouched or prone, they won’t be detected. You will also have the UAV Overwatch class ability, which will mark all enemies within a 100-meter range of you for a full minute.
