It’s completely understandable why someone would skip Chapter 1 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It’s a flashback, a story many have witnessed previously, and it’s also a bit of a slog, bogged down by tutorials and reminiscing. If you want to skip the game’s first chapter, here’s how to do just that!
How You Can Skip Chapter 1 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
For the past few weeks, everyone on PlayStation 5 had access to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo, which was, subsequently, the Nibelheim section of Chapter 1 in the game. Claim your save data bonus from the menu if you played through the demo. When starting a new game, it also asks you to check for save data bonuses. Allow it to check!
If you have the demo data on your console, it will pull the save file, and you can skip Chapter 1 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth without missing a beat. Alongside the ability to skip what is essentially a prologue to the game, you’ll also receive additional rewards for playing the demo.
Unfortunately, you can’t skip the entirety of Chapter 1; you can skip Nibelheim in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth with the demo data. You must still complete Chapter 1, including the section at the end with the fire.

Should You Skip Chapter 1 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Even if you finished the demo, there are many excellent reasons to play through Chapter 1 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. For instance, if you need to brush up on the game’s mechanics, love the characters and story, or want to explore Nebelheim again. I don’t blame you one bit!
