As you explore the wide, open world of STALKER 2, you’ll regularly come across stashes. These secret locations are bursting with loot, and some of them can be hiding some of the best weapons in STALKER 2, so they’re almost always valuable. It can be a chore getting to some, though – and that’s where this guide comes in handy.
In this walkthrough, I’ll help you understand how to find stashes in STALKER 2, and what to do with them when you’ve found them.
Best Stashes in STALKER 2
Most stashes in The Zone are scattered at random by other Stalkers, and you’ll just be helping yourself to their contents as you please. Most often, they’ll contain a little food, ammunition, medical items, and perhaps a grenade or two, but the best stashes in STALKER 2 can contain ultra-rare, one-of-a-kind weapons, Artifacts, and quest items.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of stashes across the open world, which means detailing every single one isn’t possible.
For the most part, solving a stash in STALKER 2 relies on common sense. Every stash marker will indicate the exact location of said stash, telling you whether it’s above or below you, or sitting behind an environmental blocker. That’s the first thing you should rely on.
The best stashes in STALKER 2 will have some obstacles to overcome to find them.
For instance, one might need you to climb and jump over a series of crates and containers to access the stash, while the next might need you to gingerly track your way through an anomaly field to find it. You’ll rarely find a stash just sitting in the open without any obstacles – and if you do, then tread carefully, because you’ll probably be attacked once you’ve looted it.
Some of the best stashes in STALKER 2 – like the Journalist Stashes and Shah’s Stash – will only pop once you’ve completed a prerequisite, like triggering a quest or ticking off an objective.
