Launching October 19, the sequel to 2021’s Hot Wheels Unleashed will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The new game will feature over 130 hot wheels, including debuting motorcycles and ATVs. Players will get to race in “five distinct environments” alongside the game’s custom track editor.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged features a story-driven career mode that sees four characters with unique stories presented through “animated cutscenes that immerse races in a captivating narrative”.

From a gameplay perspective, new dash and jump abilities will add a new level of experience for players of all skill levels.

“Lateral dashing will allow for tactical sideswipes against opponents, obstacle dodging, and daring overturns until the finish line, while players will also be able to perform dramatic jumps anytime and anywhere,” Milestone said in its release. “With the press of a button, drivers will have new opportunities to overtake rivals, uncover hidden shortcuts, and discover new track sections. These innovations, alongside the drift and boost features already present in series, ensure that each race offers a unique and thrilling experience while giving players more control over their finishing place every race.”
