Hogwarts Legacy Releases Again This Week

Hogwarts Legacy turned heads in monumental fashion when it was released at the start of February, quickly establishing itself as a dramatically popular, record-breaking game. It took almost no time at all for it to be regarded as one of the best games of the year, but its journey isn’t over yet, and this week, it’s set to release all over again.

On Friday, May 5th, Hogwarts Legacy will finally be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Millions of gamers have waited patiently for their turn at the epic adventure set in the heart of the wizarding world.

Wands at the Ready!

Personally, my love for Harry Potter fizzled out in my mid-teens, and although I’d read and seen everything, I wouldn’t have called myself a fan. However, when Hogwarts Legacy launched in February, I decided to invest – and what a decision that was! I was well and truly sucked in, and I quickly found myself pouring hours into the open-world wizarding masterpiece.

Now, the millions of gamers worldwide that are yet to upgrade their hardware can experience the same exhilarating journey that I did. On May 5th, Hogwarts Legacy will release globally on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, bringing the same adventure – in a lower resolution – to eagerly-awaiting players.

It should have already been released, but there was a slight delay put in place by the developer further to polish the game on the old generation of consoles. That news came just weeks after Hogwarts Legacy smashed sales records and racked up more than 1.3 million concurrent viewers on Twitch.

Oh, and on the subject of Twitch – when Hogwarts Legacy launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms this Friday, Twitch Drops are live again, and if you missed the first round, you can tune in and unlock some neat items in the game.

If you’re on Nintendo Switch, you’ll still need to wait until July 25th to pick up Hogwarts Legacy.
