Helldivers 2, which was announced back in May 2023, has picked up an all-new trailer during the PlayStation State of Play showcase and more importantly, it has been given a release date. It was more than eight years ago that the original Helldivers title was released, and fans are chomping at the bit for another opportunity to get stuck into the sequel and ‘take out the alien trash’.
When is Helldivers 2 Being Released?
During the State of Play event, it was revealed that Helldivers 2 will be released on February 8th, 2024. This action-packed, alien-slaying third-person shooter looks epic on the surface, and there’s not all that long left until fans of the now two-part franchise can blast away to their heart’s content.
It’s a huge change from the original title, though. In the first game, players slayed out from a top-down perspective, and this is straight-up third-person action. It shouldn’t take too much away from the final product, though.

If you’re already bored of killing alien creatures in Starfield, perhaps you could make a switch to something more fast-paced and high-octane when Helldivers 2 is released on February 8th, 2024.
