If you’ve ever thought about what Helldivers 2 would look like as a Star Wars game, then there’s some great news for you. A modding team has created a new mod that brings Star Wars into Helldivers 2, and it’s coming soon.
Modder ToastedShoes and his team have successfully built a mod that turns the game into the Clone Wars. The mod includes B1-series battle droids, B2-series super battle droids, Automatons remade as Separatist Droids, and more.

As far as when the mod will be publicly available, Toasted says that there are still some “kinks” to address before releasing it.
“Hey everyone! Wanted to make a post regarding the Helldivers Star Wars mod pack,” he said. “The mod pack isn’t publicly available yet but will be very shortly. Right now the mods don’t work consistently across all planets and difficulties so we want to iron out the kinks before dropping them.”
So far, Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has yet to comment on the mod. Knowing how involved they are with the community, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before they comment.
