Pokémon fever is once again spreading across the globe, celebrating the franchise’s 30th anniversary, and Heinz has teased a bizarre collab.
Pokémon Day took place on Friday, February 27, showcasing a reveal trailer for the next generation, Pokémon Winds and Waves, alongside a heap of other news, and it seems The Pokémon Company has even more up its sleeves.
Pokémon is Getting Heinz Ketchup Collab

Heinz’s Japanese social media account posted a tease about a surprise collab with Pokémon on the agenda, telling fans to “look forward to the announcement coming soon.”
Pokémon is no stranger to huge collabs, as they recently partnered with LEGO to release the first Pokémon sets, and Japan has always created a frenzy for Pokémon crossover content, with everything from huge billboards to train makeovers advertising Pokopia, which releases this week.
Many may not immediately see Heinz as the most obvious of collab partners for Pokémon, however, particularly in Japan, where they instead name Ash Ketchum Satoshi, after Pokémon creator Satoshi Tajiri.
This means that, unless there is a global collab, Heinz can’t utilize phrases like ‘Gotta Ketch ‘Em All’ or release ‘Ash Ketchup,” so it’s hard to predict what Pokémon plans with the company.
More details should be revealed soon, however, and either way, the Pokémon collab with Heinz should lead to some saucy content.
