Does Halo: Campaign Evolved Have Multiplayer?
Yes, Halo: Campaign Evolved does offer multiplayer options, though not in the traditional sense that many would expect from the franchise.
Head-to-head multiplayer has been a staple of the Halo franchise throughout its history, with Halo: Combat Evolved serving as an introduction to the online FPS scene for many players worldwide.
However, as the name suggests, Halo: Campaign Evolved is focused on the single-player story first introduced in 2001, and there are no head-to-head offerings.
While it may come as a surprise to many, it shouldn’t raise too many eyebrows, as the last remaster, 2011’s Combat Evolved Anniversary, also shipped without head-to-head multiplayer.
Does Halo: Campaign Evolved Have Co-Op?
Yes, Halo: Campaign Evolved supports full co-op functionality through both online and local methods, the latter of which has become somewhat of a rarity in modern gaming.
In online co-op, up to four players can work through the campaign together, including taking on tough challenges like a LASO run and testing themselves against the most challenging enemies the game has to offer.
Meanwhile, split-screen co-op in Halo: Campaign Evolved supports up to two players on the same console, though both will have to log in to separate Microsoft accounts.
When playing multiplayer in Halo: Campaign Evolved, each mission will scale in difficultly appropriately to the number of players in the session.
