A Valve developer has recently mentioned ‘HLX ‘, which has been rumored to be the internal codename for Half-Life 3.
Half-Life 3 is a game that players have been hearing about through the rumor and leak grapevine for years now; however, Valve has yet to provide any sort of confirmation to the players. HLX Accidentally Mentioned by Valve Dev
Spotted by Gabe Follower on X (formerly Twitter), Mike Morasky, a music designer at Valve, mentioned ‘HLX,’ rumored to be the internal codename for Half-Life 3, during a recent Q&A session. There is currently no official confirmation regarding the development of Half-Life 3, but rumors and leaks suggest otherwise. Some reports indicate that Valve has a version of the game that is “playable end-to-end.” Additionally, there are claims that this installment will serve as the final chapter in the series, with some sources suggesting that a trailer for the game is already in production. However, all of this information was shared last year, and as of 2026, we have yet to hear anything concrete about the title.
