MADFINGER Games recently wrapped up a closed playtest for Gray Zone Warfare, an in-development tactical open-world multiplayer shooter with extraction-based elements. It proved to be a success, with positive feedback causing the game to skyrocket in social circles and content creation platforms like Twitch.
Moments ago, MADFINGER revealed that there’s a trailer sitting and waiting to be played out that’ll confirm the early access release date for Gray Zone Warfare. It premieres on YouTube on April 29, and it’s already generating an insane buzz.
Striking Down the Competition
It could be argued that Gray Zone Warfare’s biggest competitor is Escape from Tarkov, and in the last couple of days, that title has been in hot water with its community. Owing to some bizarre changes and controversial updates, Battlestate Games – the creator of Escape from Tarkov – is facing mass backlash and what looks like the earliest inklings of an exodus.
Where better to go than Gray Zone Warfare? This realistic shooter boasts a vast open world, the ability to raid solo or with a team, factions, customisation, and intense combat mechanics. It has never-before-seen healing mechanics, survivable elements, and a persistent operating model that comes without time limits.
Here’s the premiere for the Gray Zone Warfare release date trailer on YouTube:
On April 29, we’ll know when Gray Zone Warfare will be released – into an early access state, at least. I got the chance to enjoy the closed playtest, and I can confirm that for a pre-alpha, it was remarkably well-built.
