Following a successful first day on the market as an early-access game, it has been confirmed that Gray Zone Warfare has sold a whopping 400,000 copies. This was announced by MADFINGER on Twitter, and despite a slew of negative reviews on Steam and some users experiencing issues running the game, it has come out shining and is storming up the charts.
Stunning Performance
Gray Zone Warfare is a next-generation extraction shooter with ambitious goals in mind. It has already disrupted the market, despite not being just an extraction shooter – it’s also a tactical FPS with milsim mechanics. It has proven to be a smash hit with the Escape from Tarkov crowd, with many of that game’s top creators migrating to Gray Zone Warfare to see what this early-access title has to offer.
With 400,000 sales in a single day, Gray Zone Warfare is proving to be a monumental success. There’s a lot in the pipeline, with the developer, MADFINGER, discussing the potential of launching a console-based version further down the line. This is a game that’s just getting started, and it has already won over a core following that’ll be dedicated to experiencing everything that unravels within the game.
