The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal is imminent, according to a new report.
Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reports that the game’s announcement is set to come “as early as this week”. The reveal will then be followed up by a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 sometime in December to coincide with Rockstar’s 25th anniversary.
Rumors of Grand Theft Auto 6’s reveal have been going on for a while now. Back in 2022, a number of leaks showed off early gameplay footage with a look at the first female protagonist in the game’s history. The game will have at least two protagonists, one man and one woman.
It’s also expected to be located in a new version of Vice City, which is loosely based on Miami.
Recently, Take-Two Interactive went as far as seemingly hinting at GTA 6 launching in 2024 with comments on expected revenue streams.
“We [Take-Two] remain confident that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025, which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance,” Take-Two CEO and chairman, Strauss Zelnick, said at the time.
Rockstar has declined to comment on the report as of publishing.
