THE INSIDER SAYS: “ Love heists? Relooted flips it by having you gather a crew, plan the job, and run through museums reclaiming the goods and returning them to where they belong. NOT in a museum!”
The idea behind Relooted – swiping artifacts from western museums – comes from South African studio Nyamakop. It’s an African-futurist heist action-platformer broken up into parts, like any good heist. As you get deeper into the story, you’re collecting members of your crew. Pick the right members. After you recon the joints, you’re on parkour platforming runs to (re)loot museums and private collections. Then you race against alarms and security to get out.
The heisting – and the game – runs in 2D so it’s kinda metroidvania-ish. Try out the demo and see for yourself.
INSIDE LOOKS:
- Pull off heists: Plan and prepare your escape route by solving puzzles and placing teammates in the right place. When you’re ready, take the artifact and escape with Nomali’s flow-based parkour abilities.
- Recruit a crew: Meet and and gradually recruit different team members with their unique abilities.
- Explore an African futurist setting: With a Hideout based in South Africa, you’ll see parts of Johannesburg imagined in the future
- Reclaim Real Artifacts: Recover 70 artifacts that exist in real-life, all of which are of huge cultural, historical, and spiritual significance to the people they were taken from.
Relooted is currently available with a demo on Steam and Epic Games Store for PC as well as Xbox Series X|S.
