THE INSIDER SAYS: “If you’re one of THOSE people that never jumped into VR, you’ve been missing out on one of the cutest platforming characters in a while. Say hello to Moss: The Forgotten Relic and jump into a retelling of the first two games, built for the non-VR world.”
Developer Polyarc is making a smart move. While we love VR, it hasn’t been hitting the same highs from a few years back. Frankly, more people need to see the world of Moss and meet Quill the mouse. The Forgotten Relic is a full reimagining of the beloved Moss VR series — combining the original Moss, Moss: Book II, and the Twilight Garden DLC. More than that, it’s got new cutscenes, improved visuals, a smart follow camera, and an accessibility-focused skip-combat option for those that just want to focus on the puzzle solving portions of the game.
INSIDE LOOKS:
• Complete Moss + Moss: Book II combined — the full story of Quill’s journey in a single enhanced experience, including the Twilight Garden DLC
• Rebuilt for flat-screen — a Smart Follow Camera replaces the VR perspective, redesigned from the ground up for standard displays
• New handcrafted cutscenes — original cinematic moments added specifically for this version of the game
• Enhanced visuals and performance — upgraded art and technical improvements across the entire adventure
• Optional skip-combat accessibility feature — players who want to focus purely on exploration, story, and puzzles can bypass combat encounters
Available on: PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2
