G2 and Team Heretics Are First to Be Eliminated from VALORANT Masters London Playoffs

The first elimination matches of the VALORANT Masters London playoffs bracket have wrapped, and they’ve seen G2 Esports and Team Heretics ejected from the tournament. They’re the first teams to drop out of the playoffs after making it all this way in London, and their dismissal marks a shake-up in viewer expectations.

G2 collapsed with a 0-2 loss against FUT Esports, and Team Heretics fell out of the running after a 1-2 defeat handed down by Leviatán. These two organizations walk away from London steeped in commiserations but around $35,000 richer.

VALORANT Masters London Playoffs Push On

The departure of both G2 and Team Heretics from the VALORANT Masters London tournament comes as a surprise, as both of these squads were top seeds from their respective regions. The stacked field proved to be a little too much, and ultimately, someone has to go first.

Now that G2 and Heretics are gone, all eyes are on whoever comes next.

Paper Rex and Vitality have pushed for a solid start in the opening upper bracket matches, including the former team securing an insane 13-1 win on Ascent against Leviatán. There’s still every potential for Leviatán and FUT Esports to push through the lower bracket and into the grand final, of course – it just depends who else joins them down there from tomorrow.

VALORANT Masters London delivers its final week this week, and when the dust has settled, one team will walk away with $350,000 in their pocket, as well as a hefty eight VCT points.

We could see a redemption story of sorts surface yet, with PRX clawing a first-place victory after falling in second place against Nongshim RedForce in Santiago in March.
