France has confirmed its intended League of Legends roster for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 and is just awaiting approval from the Esports World Cup Foundation.
In an interview with RFT, Karmine Corp assistant coach and LoL France coach Quentin ‘Zeph’ Viguié confirmed his roster choices.
The League of Legends event is expected to feature 32 teams, 16 directly invited nations and another 16 that will have to qualify.
According to RFT, France is expected to be one of the invited nations.
Esports Nations Cup 2026: France League of Legends Roster
The LoL roster France has submitted is:
- Top lane — Adam ‘Adam’ Maanane
- Jungle — Rudy ‘SkewMond’ Semaan
- Mid — Ilias ‘nuc’ Bizriken
- Bot lane — Caliste ‘Caliste’ Henry-Hennebert
- Support — Théo ‘Zoelys’ Le Scornec
The star of this team is SkewMond, who stepped up this year and helped G2 Esports restore faith for Western LoL fans at First Stand with strong performances against some of the world’s best junglers.
Meanwhile, Caliste is a controversial choice over SkewMond’s G2 teammate, Steven ‘Hans Sama’ Liv.
Zeph claims it was a very close decision, but in the end opted for the player he already works with at Karmine Corp.
“Seeing SkewMond with Hans is something we already know from G2. Seeing Skewmond with Caliste — we haven’t seen that yet, and we want to,” he told RFT.
Zoelys was also a somewhat surprising choice given that Paul ‘Stend’ Lardin has recently competed in the LEC with Team Heretics.
EMEA Masters Winter 2026 finalist Zoelys struggled during his LEC stint with Rogue, but was the preferred choice of both Caliste and Hans Sama, according to Zeph.
The team’s solo lanes are a slight question mark, with Adam currently not on a pro team and Nuc out of form with Shifters struggling in the LEC.
However, Adam is the only active French toplaner with international experience, and Shifters’ form isn’t necessarily down to their mid laner.
