Spent the evening clean installing windows and wondered if there are any tips or applications you always use and have to make your experience that bit nicer. Anything from changing your nvidia 3d settings to advanced stuff.

If you use G-Sync, enable V-Sync in the Nvidia control panel and disable it in-game. Also lock the FPS a little below the maximum refresh rate, e.g. 116 for 120. This is the correct way to use G-Sync. I recommend RivaTuner to lock the FPS.

Using some of these exact tricks right now to keep Darksiders 2 from imploding. Rivatuner with MSI afterburner is a real gem.
