The first major Fortnite collab of 2026 has arrived with the introduction of South Park, which comes alongside an extremely powerful new item, the Stick of Truth.
South Park’s Fortnite debut will last around a month, giving you a limited amount of time to complete the free pass, and the in-game content is in addition to the skins available to purchase in the Item Shop.
If you’re on the hunt for the Stick of Truth in Fortnite during the South Park collab, Insider Gaming has all the key details on how to claim it.
How to Get The Stick of Truth in Fortnite

Like the roaming bosses in Fortnite, there is no fixed location for the Stick of Truth to spawn, and its appearance in a match is random.
The Stick of Truth may not appear in a match at all, so don’t go out of your way hunting for it, especially as it becomes obvious when the powerful Mythic is available.
When the Stick of Truth is available to claim on the map, a Rift Anomaly noticed will appear informing players the loot is ready to be found. Once it’s been picked up, the game will also inform you it’s no longer available, and that’s your warning to keep a close eye on the storm, as another player now has a significant edge.
The spawn chance for the Stick of Truth Rift Anomaly seems to be relatively low, though it could be tweaked to be more common in the weeks ahead.
In fact, many on social media are suggesting there could be a bug with the Stick of Truth not appearing as intended. We’ll update this article if there’s any official word from Epic Games.
What Does The Stick of Truth do in Fortnite?
The Stick of Truth Mythic weapon in the Fortnite x South Park collab has a unique ability to modify the storm, though it can only be used once.
With the Stick of Truth, players can tweak the storm’s position, shape, or speed to create safe zones for their squad and put pressure on opposing teams, though they need to be tactical about when to activate the power, as it can only be done once.
Only one Stick of Truth is available to claim in each match, so be prepared for a scrap to claim the item for yourself, though you might get lucky and eliminate the player who has it in their possession.
