How to Get Lucky Locators in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

Fortnite players have spent the majority of Chapter 7 Season 3 searching high and low for Sprites, and the new Lucky Locator adds a great way to add to your collection.

As the Fortnite season has evolved, new Sprites have been added regularly by Epic Games, alongside key tools to help you further your collection, with the Lucky Locator among the most recent additions.

If you want to get hold of a Lucky Locator in Fortnite, or want to know what it does, Insider Gaming has the details.

A Lucky Locator in Fortnite can only be obtained through the Sprite Mastery Rewards and is limited to one per account.

To earn a Lucky Locator in Fortnite, players must master a total of 50 Sprites, which requires equipping a Sprite in-game, earning XP, and then successfully extracting the Sprite at an extractor, or via a Victory Royale.

There is currently a total of 109 Sprites in Fortnite, so almost half are required to be mastered, but the total number of Sprites will increase further with the addition of new Sprites.

Fortunately, every rarity counts as an individual Sprite, so mastering a standard Water Sprite, a Gold Water Sprite, and a Gummy Water Sprite, for example, counts as three separate Sprites.

What Are Lucky Locators in Fortnite?

Lucky Locators are a valuable tool in Fortnite that scan the nearby area to locate a nearby Sprite Chest, which would otherwise be hidden from view.

Upon access, players can open the gadget menu inside a match to select the Lucky Locator and activate it, which scans the nearby area.

The benefit of the Lucky Locator is that it will provide a Sprite that you don’t currently possess, so you can use it to find an extremely rare Sprite, but the odds are the same for whatever Sprite is missing from your collection.

It’s a one-time-use item too, so use it carefully, but additional Lucky Locators could be added as the season evolves, or next season if the feature remains.
