A Fortnite x Attack on Titan crossover is set to take place soon, multiple leakers have claimed.
Reliable Fortnite leakers ShiinaBR and HYPEX have dually announced that the anime-inspired collaboration will arrive in Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 2.
According to both sources, the season’s battle pass will feature Attack on Titan lead character Eren Yeager as a secret skin.
It’s not yet clear how extensive the crossover will be, and if fans can expect further skins or elements in the game based on the show. Previous anime collaborations in Fortnite have included Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and My Hero Academia.
The Attack on Titan manga and anime series are no strangers to video game collaborations. Previously, Attack on Titan elements has been added to games such as Free Fire, Call of Duty, and Dead By Daylight.
The Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration arrives in the same year as the third section of the anime’s final season. The show’s final season has itself been split over several years, keeping fans waiting for the closing chapters of the narrative.
Part Three of the Final Season is also being split into two halves, with 12 episodes which form the first segment soon to arrive. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3’s first half will air from March 4 until May 20.
Shiina has also leaked that the theme of Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 2 will be “Futuristic-Japanese”, with Neo-Tokyo style cities added to the map.
An official start date for Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 2 has yet to be announced by developer Epic Games. Season 1 is set to close on March 8th, meaning that the next Season will likely kick off a few days later, on March 10. Expect to see more official announcements about the upcoming season in the days ahead.
