Square Enix finally announced the release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for the Switch 2 at the latest Nintendo Partner Direct, and it arrives on June 3, 2026.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been awaited for the Switch 2 ever since the first instalment was released this year, and the developers have come through with the announcement. It was rumoured that the game would be showcased for the console at the Direct, along with a release date.

It was confirmed during the latest Nintendo Partner Direct that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will release for the Switch 2 this June. Interested readers can pre-order the title later today. All we need now from Square Enix is an official reveal for the next part, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3; they already have a title in mind.
For those unaware, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part of the remake trilogy, where Cloud and the party set foot on a new adventure after escaping the city of Mako. Now players can explore a wider world, featuring grassy plains atop chocobos. The story features characters like Zack Fair, Sephiroth, and more, while you face a threat to the planet itself.
In other news, the original Final Fantasy 7 is re-releasing on Steam. Additionally, Rebirth and Part 3 have also been confirmed for Xbox.
