I often browse the internet looking for the hottest Fallout experiences around, whether that’s something I can watch, listen to, or play myself, and Fallout: Breach is the latest entry in that space. It’s understandable if you’ve never heard of Fallout: Breach, as it’s only just gaining traction online, but after this article, you might want to leap straight in, as it’s available now.
Put simply, Fallout: Breach is a mod for Fallout 4 that takes players and casts them straight into a horror-fuelled experience that’s right out of the Alien playbook. It adds a terrifying new underwater facility, fresh enemies, and callbacks to the legendary horror franchise that started way back in 1979.
Fallout: Breach Turns Fallout 4 Into a Horror Game
On July 3rd, ‘RascalArt’ added the Fallout: Breach mod to Nexus, and in just a few days, it has secured more than 1,500 downloads through the platform. If there’s one blocker to the adoption of the Fallout: Breach mod, it’s how much you need to get it.
To successfully run the Fallout: Breach mod, you’ll need Automatron, Far Harbor, and Nuka World, as well as the Enclave Remnants content added with the current-gen update, which was rolled out in 2024.
On Nexus, RascalArt explained the inspiration behind Fallout: Breach:
Heavily inspired by the Aliens franchise, BREACH is a narrative dungeon mod which sees the player explore a sunken research facility, uncover its secrets and discover the fate of the unfortunate expedition that came before them.
The mod’s questline begins at Nahant Chapel, a creepy enough location in the base game. It promises to offer quite a challenge, too – RascalArt recommends you only start Fallout: Breach when you’re above level 15.
Inside this mod bundle, you’ll also find a new Pulse Rifle weapon, creepy new enemies, and an atmosphere that will probably send chills down your spine, which is something that doesn’t really happen all that much in Fallout 4.
