Bethesda has officially confirmed that both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas remasters are in active development.
The news came during a new company update following mass Xbox layoffs earlier this month, which affected Bethesda. The news revealed a ton of details about what the company is now working on, including remastered projects.

In the post, it was said, “We also know many players want to revisit previous Fallout experiences. While we’re not announcing any dates today, we have been working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.”
So there you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth. Two Fallout remasters are currently in development, and while the games’ reveal time could suggest they are perhaps a while away, we personally think we could be seeing one of them later this year.
The news comes following strikes at Bethesda, which were in response to the recent large layoffs at Xbox, which affected 440 employees at Bethesda and ZeniMax.
Earlier this year, a Fallout 3 Remaster rumor circulated heavily online following a new toy listing featuring an item from the rumored Fallout 3 Remastered title.
