Escape from Tarkov’s 1.1.0 Update Locked In For Tomorrow, August 3rd

Battlestate Games has confirmed that Escape from Tarkov’s long-awaited 1.1.0 update, which will deliver the game’s first online season, is arriving tomorrow, August 3rd. From 7 AM BST (2 AM EDT), Escape from Tarkov will be taken offline to deploy the update, which is set to be the most major update to hit the platform since the game’s 1.0 launch in November 2025.

The game’s first season has been dubbed Kord Breach, and it’s focused entirely on the Black Division faction. As the season progresses, players can unlock exclusive rewards by working through a battle pass, which is totally free to access.

Escape from Tarkov Going Down For Kord Breach

Battlestate Games will be taking Escape from Tarkov offline for up to eight hours tomorrow, August 3rd, to deploy the 1.1.0 update. It’s a massive overhaul that introduces Kord Breach, the game’s first season, as well as new quests, weapons, core game mechanics, and other improvements across the board.

The long-awaited patch offers an entirely new way to play the game, giving players their first seasonal character that they can tweak using a range of modifiers. This first season will give users a taste of things to come, and more will follow before the year is out.

BSG will release the full patch notes tomorrow morning, but for now, the bulk of the update is something of a mystery.

The arrival of Kord Breach follows the recent addition of the Expansion Hub, a new in-game storefront that allows users to buy things that would usually cost real money using Tarcoins, a fresh in-game currency added several weeks ago.
