Epic Just Stopped You From Getting Free Fallout Games

From the 22nd to the 29th of February, Epic Games Store users were supposed to get three of the most classic Fallout titles completely free of charge. This trilogy would have included Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics, but inexplicably, the platform has removed the trio of titles and replaced them with Super Meat Boy Forever.

For fans (and prospective fans) of the iconic, isometric post-apocalyptic series, it’s a crushing blow.

Nobody Knows Why

Epic Games hasn’t confirmed why the drastic change was made, but it’s not something that usually happens on the platform. It’s a disappointing move for the gamers who were eager to scoop up three of the best post-apocalyptic games ever made, as they’re now faced with securing just one title – Super Meat Boy Forever. It’s a fun game in its own right, but it’s not three Fallout games, that’s for sure.

It was recently revealed that in 2023, Epic Games gave away 86 games free of charge on its PC-based storefront, totalling more than $2,000 from end to end. It’s one of the most attractive aspects of the Epic Games Store on PC, and it’s why the platform boasts 75 million monthly active users.

There’s one driving theory behind the decision to remove the Fallout triple-pack, and that’s that the Epic Games Store already listed the trio of wasteland-based titles just over a year ago, but nobody really knows.

  • Could be because people like me are tired getting the same games show up in the store, half the time I don’t even use the epic store anymore cuz the game they offer just aren’t up to par, fortnite fell off, they overreached and now were all just waiting for them to pull it back it, hopefully disney gets them into order
