Elden Ring Nightreign’s First Patch Warns Players About ‘Frame Rate Drops’ on PC

Elden Ring Nightreign’s first patch has warned players about the latest graphics cards experiencing ‘frame rate drops’.

Elden Ring Nightreign’s First Patch is Live

The developers have released Elden Ring Nightreign’s patch 1.01 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The patch intends to “improve gameplay and stability.” The developers have asked players to update to the latest version before launching the game. Check out the patch notes for Elden Ring Nightreign’s update 1.01 below:

  • Improved handling of playable characters
  • Soundtrack addition and adjustments
  • Text adjustments
  • Balance adjustments
  • Added character scenarios
  • Bug fixes

Elden Ring Nightreign Players May Experience PC Performance Issues

In the latter half of the patch notes, the developers confirm that “some PC configurations using the latest graphics cards may experience frame rate drops” when playing Elden Ring Nightreign. They are currently investigating the issue, and for the time being, players can resolve frame rate issues by lowering their graphics settings from High to Medium or Low, lowering their resolution and installing the latest drivers for their graphics card.

They have also provided some troubleshooting tips for the PC version of Elden Ring Nightreign. If players cannot start the game’s PC version, they should find ‘Elden Ring Nightreign’ in their Steam Library, click ‘Properties’, select ‘Installed Files’ and execute ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’. This should likely resolve the player’s issue.
