DLC and Ray Tracing Could be Coming to Elden Ring Soon

Several dataminers have found evidence that Elden Ring could have DLC coming in the near future. New files, found following the latest update 1.07 indicate that two new zones could be coming to Elden Ring in addition to Ray tracing.

According to Lance McDonald, new strings were added within the latest patch that will allow players to enable Ray tracing within the menu settings.

“Enabling ray tracing will lock performance settings to prioritize quality. The ray tracing selling will only be applied after returning to the title menu”, the string reads.

Other dataminers weighed into the patch update too, by referencing several new strings that relate to some form of DLC content.

Sekiro Dubi tweeted “The new maps are m20, and m45… m20 has same numbering as Legacy dungeons, m45 is brand new…”. However, at this time, no evidence of strings were posted.

YouTuber Garden of Eyes also posted a YouTube video, showing off a series of new hairstyles coming to the game that was titled “DLC Hairstyle”. You can watch his video below.

With the exception of Demon’s Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, From Software has had some form of DLC for its titles. So, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before an announcement and subsequent release of a DLC comes to the game.

So far though, From Software has yet to comment on any DLC coming to Elden Ring, but the team has previously said that Ray tracing will be coming to the game at some point, but no time frame was given.

It’s still unclear when ray tracing will be coming to Elden Ring, as it’s not yet been announced officially by From Software. However, the new added strings could indicate it’s coming in the very near future.
