EDward Gaming, one of the most prolific names in Chinese esports, has officially broken into the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem after unveiling a new roster at the end of March. The roster will compete in the inaugural CN League 2026, the top-tier division for Mainland China, arranged to service a new audience across the region.
The team posted on social media earlier today, celebrating the news, as the team prepares to step into the CN League 2026 Kickoff and qualify for the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major.
EDG Enters Rainbow Six Siege with Slick Roster
The new EDG lineup is headlined by IGL Patrick ‘MentalistC’ Fan, a veteran of Fnatic, Bleed, Giants, and Invictus. He’s backed by Yang ‘BottomLove’ Yuhao, Lin ‘Carpe’ Haoran, Cheng ‘Direction’ Yabing, and Su ‘OnJuly’ Qianying.
The coach spot has been secured by Liu ‘Nado’ Zhenyu, coming over to EDG from ENTERPRISE Esports and Team Joel, to name just two former teams.
EDward Gaming secured their CN League 2026 spot by pushing through the circuit’s Qualifying Series, China’s equivalent to the Challenger Series. They found the top spot in the open qualifiers and landed the number-one seed spot after a solid upper bracket run.
EDG now has solid fan backing in the Rainbow Six esports space and enters the new CN League as a strong candidate for a spot at the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major. The Major will run from May 8 to May 17, and the top four teams at the CN League Kickoff will earn their way into the tournament.
