The wait is finally over, as EA FC 27 is officially beginning to be unveiled by EA. Kicking things off, we have our first look at this year’s cover star, with Kylian Mbappe back in front for the Ultimate Edition. As for the full game’s reveal, that’s scheduled for Thursday, July 23.
The news comes directly from EA Sports, with the image being posted across all of their social media. To mark the occasion, the branding has all shifted to EA FC 27, officially marking the beginning of a new EA FC era.
The Week Of EA FC 27
To those in the know, the EA FC 27 cover star reveal might not have come as a surprise. FGZ regularly covers everything EA FC, and Kylian Mbappe was long rumored to take centre stage as the face of the brand.
However, what we all want to see is the game’s official reveal trailer, but it looks like we still have to wait a short while longer before we can feast our eyes on gameplay, as it’s not due until July 23.

That said, we don’t need official reveals for much more, as reliable leakers have already shared the game’s release date, with September 25 being the special day—or September 18 if you order the Ultimate Edition and secure early access.
As for what you can expect from EA FC 27, a new open-world mode has long been leaked for the title. It should serve as a social hub where you can interact with other online players, customise your avatar, and engage in a variety of mini-games.
Today’s cover star reveal will be the first of many official reveals, with more details bound to be shared in the weeks leading up to release, with individual deep dives expected for each of the game’s core pillars, like Career Mode and Ultimate Team.
