Classic games are making their way to Steam from EA as a way to celebrate influential PC games. On November 5, 2026, the publisher announced the release of 25 iconic PC games.
Titles include Road Rash, Wing Commander, Privateer 2, Ultima, and more.
Classic Titles Coming to Steam for the First Time
EA made special Anniversary Editions of Road Rash and six of the Wing Commander series games available on the platform, along with 18 other titles.
In a press release, EA stated, “The Anniversary Editions have been a labor of love, inspired by the discovery of a physical media vault containing thousands of Betacam, VHS, and D1 tapes alongside other media assets.”
Lost Master FMV sequences were recovered to restore over 1,500 cinematic scenes across the Anniversary Editions. The team states that the goal of remaking these titles is to just add quality-of-life updates and modern system support.
Wing Commander fans also get a special surprise from EA. Anyone with a GOG or EA App copy of the Wing Commander titles will receive the new Anniversary Editions for free. As for the rest of the games, the full collection has special pricing when purchased from GOG and Steam until November 19, 2026.
