EA FC 27 is right around the corner, beginning the grind for players again across every game mode, but it seems there are going to be big decisions to be made for those hunting Achievements and Trophies.
Releasing September 18 in early access, with a full release the following week, the latest entry in the EA Sports title continues in the same vein as others, with a chunk of optional microtransactions, but if you want every Achievement or Trophy in EA FC 27, there could be a big decision ahead of you.
Full EA FC 27 Completion Requires Premium Pass
Ahead of the launch, the full list of Achievements and Trophies in EA FC 27 has been revealed, and there’s one that catches the eye.
The ‘All Aboard the Premium Track’ Achievement and Trophy requires players to fully complete and unlock all levels in the Premium Pass, FC 27’s paid-for Battle Pass option.
There are some significant caveats to this: The Standard Edition doesn’t come with any Premium Passes. Those with the Ultimate Edition receive the first Premium Pass for free, while those who splashed out on the Ultimate Plus Edition have the first five Premium Passes included in their purchase.
If you don’t complete a pass in time, or purchase an edition without an included Premium Pass, you’ll need to splash out either real-world cash or a hefty chunk of Coins in Ultimate Team.
In FC 26, the Premium Pass was priced at 1,000 FIFA Points, EA Sports’ premium currency, or 500,000 Coins. Unless you pack an expensive player in Ultimate Team, which you can turn over for big profit, or get lucky, earning half a million Coins can take a long, long time.
Again, this is just for one pass, and if you don’t get the pass done, then you’ll need to spend another 500K Coins on another pass, unless, of course, you use real money. Or you’re encouraged to get the super-duper new Ultimate Edition, which gives you five chances. Unless EA has suddenly drastically dropped the price for the Premium Pass, this might not be so bad, but that remains to be seen.
Of course, completing all the Achievements and Trophies is entirely optional, and there’s nothing forcing you to grind time or splash out on a Premium Pass, but it’s a peculiar choice for a completionist task.
