A large part of the overall experience in Dragon’s Dogma 2, as the Arisen, revolves around recruiting Pawns through the Rift. But they’re not free. Just because you’re the Chosen One, destined to lead the Pawns, doesn’t mean they’ll follow you for nothing. You need to get Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and here’s how!
How to Farm Rift Crystals Fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The most efficient way to get a ton of Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to slay enemies, like the goblin ambushers you’ll find around every corner in the woods, and open chests at points of interest.
As you’re wandering the world, keep an eye out for the exclamation point on your map. A Pawn will usually point out a chest, which marks it with the icon, and you can find your way to the loot using a bit of exploration and, occasionally, parkour.
However, it’s completely random how many Rift Crystals you receive from slaying monsters and opening chests.
For surefire Rift Crystals, activate Rift Stones scattered throughout the world. You’ll receive a small amount for activating each one. And lastly, send your Pawn out on quests. Every time someone hires your Pawn or they return from a quest, you’ll receive a small sum.

Where to Spend Rift Crystals
You’ll find that many of the Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2 cost upwards of tens of thousands of Rift Crystals. I saw some going for 30-40,000!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that kind of cash on me!
But in any case, you can spend your currency to hire additional Paws by visiting a Rift Stone. There’s one at the Pawn Guild in Vernworth, where you’ll enter through to the other side to inspect and potentially hire new companions.
Alternatively, at the same Guildhall, you’ll find a merchant to the left-hand side of the stone selling various items for Pawn customization and enhancement. These items all cost RC.
