According to the latest announcement, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has sold more than 5 million units globally.
Bandai Namco’s 2024 3D arena fighter, the latest instalment in a decade-old game series, has hit a major sales milestone. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the successor to the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi series, has sold over 5 million units across PlayStation, Xbox Series X/S, and PC since October 8, 2024 (less than 4 months since release). The developers have thanked the fans for their passion and support in helping them achieve this milestone.
Moreover, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has shown no signs of slowing down. The developers have already released the first DLC, Hero of Justice. The latest expansion introduces 11 new playable characters, with the likes of Beast Gohan, Orange Piccolo, Cell Max and more from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie joining the roster. The developers have also released a new game mode and fresh cosmetics with the new DLC. 2 more DLCs are planned, introducing more than 20 characters to the game.
There are several reasons why Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has sold 5 million units. Most importantly, fans appreciate that the developers stayed faithful to the source material. They built upon the already perfected gameplay from the Budokai Tenkaichi series by enhancing it with stunning visuals, destructible arenas, and a roster of nearly 200 characters. Additionally, the game’s multiplayer aspect is easy to access, and the story mode offers a refreshing experience with new Episode Battles and Custom Battles.
In other news, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is one of Bandai Namco’s best-selling games. Also, 90% of these sales have arrived from Europe or North America. What are your thoughts on Dragon Ball Sparking Zero selling over 5 million copies? Let us know in the comments or on our new community forum!

Meanwhile Bandai cancelled other anime titles like Naruto and One Piece, wasted money on Unknown 9, and then wasted money on Tekken 8 and Clive. Just support this game add all the missing characters and more DLC this is what makes money. Hopefully we get the announcement of a new Shonen Jump crossover game and Bleach does well. Hope Hunter X Hunter Nen Impact sells well too.
Hurry up with DLC let’s get past this wave and finally get to old characters returning and characters who’ve never been in the game arriving. All the missing OG DB, DBZ, DBGT, movie, and Super Dragon Ball Heroes characters coming. We just have to get past the Daima stuff and we’re there.
Tekken bros are coping their game flopped and the guest sucked they’re pretending their game was a part of this success no your game sucks and everyone hates it except shills even the pros hate it. Bandai you want money focus here and put money into Sparking Zero you see people like this game and want content! So much missing still. Anime games make money especially with quality.
Hurry get to Super Dragon Ball Super Heroes DLC let’s get Fu and all those new transformations and fusions.
I hope Bleach since they’re adding TYBW characters they add Fullbring first also still waiting on the rest of the Visored, Arrancar, and Ishin to get announced since the base game will be up to Arrancar. Hopefully the DLC for that does an overhaul for graphics like what they did with this game I hate Super but visually this DLC looks better than the initial game.
Tell the annoying Tekken bros this is DBZ’s success not theirs. DBZ made money for Bandai not Tekken and that garbage Clive and garbage game all together. Saw EventHubs try to claim Tekken 8 is a banger it’s not stop lying. We need more content for this game and actual cutscenes. I swear these companies have to enjoy losing money Bandai and Square Enix Final Fantasy flops so they push it in Tekken but they didn’t know Tekken would lose hype. Where’s Jump Force 2 been 6 years? Where’s the next Arc System game with Bandai based on a Shonen Jump IP? They better not be working with that asshole shill Max Dood! He ruined Mortal Kombat now Tekken going to listen to him again? Already trying to kiss ass with Sega’s for VF and weird for Itagaki now lying claiming Itagaki is a beta like him so he can relate like man wants work with Koei Tecmo now too.
Daima has been a let down hurry get past that so we get all the missing characters and forms for Season 2 DLC also those stories OG Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z anime exclusive and movie, Dragon Ball GT, and finally add Super Dragon Ball Heroes and the Time Patrol stuff. Also finally Stephanie voicing all Kid Goku and Kid/Teen Gohan slots, Tiffany as Bulma, and Linda as Frieza again. Spike Chunsoft should make a Kinnikuman arena fighter the creators should remember they gave the chojin the ability to fly and Kinnikuman the ability to grow big like Ultraman and his ultra beam.
Everyone needs to buy Nen Impact. I think Aniplex could be working with Arc System Works on a Mashle game since they publish the Demon Slayer games in Japan. When Chainsaw Man’s anime finishes Part 1 of the anime I’d love to see CyberConnect2 turn that into a game.
Hoping they show off at least Ginjo as the first DLC for Bleach Rebirth Of Souls and hoping Fullbring Ichigo makes it. Waiting on Ichigo’s dad too they need to add him also filler and movie characters would be fine too stages as well. This year is the anime game year Sparking Zero DLC, Bleach Rebirth Of Souls, Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles 2, Hunter X Hunter Nen Impact, and I guess Eden’s Zero.
