Don’t Nod On Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Sales

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage may have just released Tape 2 on April 15, but developer Don’t Nod says the game has been meeting its internal sales expectations since Tape 1’s release in February.

As part of the studio’s latest earnings report on Wednesday, Don’t Nod gave an update on the start of 2025 for the company. As part of that update, they said that the “critical acclaim” of Lost Records “confirms [their] expertise in the Narrative Adventure genre”.

In addition, they say that sales are meeting expectations so far.

“Backed by a strategic partnership with Sony, the game’s sales are in line with forecasts, in an increasingly selective market,” the statement reads while not giving specific data.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 released on February 18 while Tape 2 launched on April 15. The second tape was originally planned for a March release, but was delayed slightly in order to give the developers “the necessary time to refine the experience, address more bugs, and enhance the storytelling”.

In his review of Tape 1, Insider Gaming’s Grant Taylor-Hill called the game “the Life is Strange 3 you always wanted.”

“Lost Records: Bloom & Rage teleported me back to a time when freedom meant everything and there was nothing to be concerned about other than what my friends and I would do the next day.” his review reads. “I feel like many gamers will connect to this title on a spiritual level, and I cannot wait to soak up the next episode.”
